Obituary of Alonzo Gilbert Uehlin, Jr.

A. G. “Bud” Uehlin, Jr., 83, Amazonia, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at his home.

Bud was born on September 11, 1929 to Alonzo Gilbert, Sr. and Edna (Spicer) Uehlin in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Bud was a self-employed farmer. He married Viola Mae Graves on January 26, 1956 in Oregon, Missouri, she survives of the home. He was a member of Three Angels Seventh Day Adventist Church of St. Joseph, Missouri.

Bud was a loving husband and father that loved his family and the Lord. He was a hard worker that loved to farm, until the day he passed away unexpectedly, doing what he loved.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Charles Uehlin; sisters, Lucille Hufford, Eda Narans; son-in-law, David Davis; and daughter-in-law, Debra Uehlin.

Additional survivors include, son, Dwight Uehlin; daughters, Brenda (Mike) Aspey, Patty Uehlin, all of Amazonia, Amy (Jamie) Demelt, Albany, Missouri; grandchildren, Travis (Tamika) Davis, Tasha Davis, Austin Demelt; brother, Otis Uehlin; numerous nieces and nephews.

Services 10:30 Friday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel, Savannah, Missouri. Visitation will begin after 12 noon, Thursday, at our Chapel where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Thursday evening. Interment Bennett Lane Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Three Angels Seventh Day Adventist Church of St. Joseph, Missouri.
