Obituary of Malcolm Y. Marshall

MARSHALL, MALCOLM Y., 91, of Louisville, passed away November 14, 2012 at Baptist Hospital East.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II. A graduate of the College and Law School of the University of Virginia. He practiced law for many years in Louisville in the former firm, Ogden, Robertson and Marshall. He was General Counsel of Kentucky Utilities Company, a Director and member of its Executive Committee, and a member of the Legal Committee of Edison Electric Institute. He was a member of the Pendennis and Louisville Country Clubs.

His wife of 61 years, Sudabelle Wall Marshall, predeceased him.

He is survived by three children, David B. Marshall (Therese), Courtney M. Hikes and Carolyn Marshall; three grandchildren, Audrey E. Marshall, Sebree M. Rizzo (James) and Courtney L. Hikes; and four great-grandchildren, Claire E. Owens, Erik R.M. Owens, Doran M. Rizzo and Cora E. Rizzo.

The family wishes to thank Freda Mosby for taking care of their father with humor and kindness.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane with private burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday at Pearson's.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at 4 Park Tower at Baptist East or Hosparus.
